THC vs. CBD: What Is the Difference?
THC and CBD are two of several chemical compounds called cannabinoids that are produced by the Cannabis Sativa plant.
Although they have very similar chemical structure and composition, THC and CBD affect the human body in different ways.
THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) was the first cannabinoid identified. THC has the most significant psychoactive effect of the known cannabinoids. The ratio of THC to other cannabinoids present in cannabis varies from strain to strain.
CBD (cannabidiol) is the main cannabinoid in low-THC cannabis strains. Unlike THC, CBD does not induce any significant psychoactive effects.
Products sold in Terrasana dispensaries clearly state THC and CBD percentages so patients may understand the amount of these cannabinoids present in the products they consume.
